Dr. Zapata Parga has a memory that was one of his inspirations in his desire to be a person who helps others. Remember that on one occasion in a Dentist's office when he was a boy, he saw that the Doctor corrected a terrible toothache of a girl in a visit.
Dr. Zapata Parga tells us ... "I was surprised by the immediate help that this Dentist gave the girl by taking her unbearable toothache in about half an hour. I realized that he had helped her concretely. It inspired me, and it was a turning point in my life. One of my motivations for choosing the profession of Dentist was the constant opportunity to help people.
When I was a young person I struggled with that because the help I could offer at that moment in my life seemed weak to me. It was not very tangible and when it was tangible, it was not lasting. I was not satisfied.
My first experiences as a child with the Dentist were of horror, and the Dentist's office became a place I did not like to visit. But when I saw that the dentist help that girl, I decided that I wanted to learn more about what dentists do, and when I learned that dentistry is a marriage of science and artistic ability, with the additional advantage of being able to physically help people, I was hooked! From that moment, all my plans were to become a good dentist.
As a personal note, Dr. Arturo Zapata Parga is happily married to the love of his life.
He and his wife have two beautiful daughters with whom they try to share moments of quality as a family.
When the Doctor is not working, he enjoys exercise, a good book and the company of his family.
